We are looking for a reliable and dedicated Ramp Agent to join our team. The Ramp Agent is responsible for safely and efficiently handling cargo, baggage, and passengers on the aircraft ramp. They ensure that all ground support equipment is utilized correctly and that flight schedules are adhered to. The ideal candidate should have a strong work ethic, excellent communication skills, and a safety-first approach to their work.

Ramp agent responsibilities

• Safely load and unload cargo and baggage onto and off aircraft while adhering to established safety procedures.
• Operate ground support equipment such as tugs, dollies, and conveyors, ensuring they are used safely and effectively.
• Communicate with flight crews and ground personnel to ensure that all servicing and grooming requirements are met and flight schedules are maintained.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the ramp area, ensuring that all debris, equipment, and tools are removed and properly stored.
• Perform security checks in accordance with TSA regulations to ensure the safety and security of all passengers and crew.
• Complete all required paperwork and record keeping accurately and ensure that flight manifests and other documentation are properly completed and submitted.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; some college coursework preferred
• Strong verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to lift up to 70 pounds, work in inclement weather conditions, and stand for extended periods of time
• Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and have a good driving record
• Must pass a pre-employment drug test and background check
• Knowledge of basic computer skills including MS Office, email and internet applications preferred
