Warehouse Order Filler job description

Job brief

We are seeking a detail-focused, service-oriented, and professional Warehouse Order Filler to join our team! The ideal fit for the role will have previous experience working in a fast-paced environment, and be confident with using equipment to pick and pack orders, such as hand-held scanners and forklift trucks. The key focus of the position is to ensure that items are picked, quality-checked, and packed to be shipped out to customers.

Responsibilities

• Review orders in the queue on the hand-held device.
• Locate the correct item, check the item for damages and ensure it is packed in a timely manner to be shipped out to customers.
• Use various equipment to pick items, hand picking for smaller items, and pallet trucks or forklift trucks for larger items such as furniture or appliances.
• Work in line with service level standards for orders filled in a specific time frame.
• Alert management to any out-of-stock or defective items.
• Update the hand-held scanner with items that have made their way through the fulfillment stage and on to shipping.
• Work in line with health and safety guidelines at all times.

Requirements

• High School Diploma
• Previous experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Demonstrated ability to use a hand-held scanner
• Able to physically lift up to 25kg 
• Able to work as part of a team
• Previous experience using a pallet truck would be an advantage
• Fork Lift Truck License, with endorsements for reach trucks or the willingness to obtain one, would be an advantage
• Detail-focused with a keen eye for errors
• Able to be on your feet for extended periods of time
