Job brief
We are seeking a devoted Vice President of Finance for the development and management of the organization's analytical, financial strategies and policies. The Vice President of Finance will also provide metrics reports in order to increase scalability throughout the year and optimize our growth.
The duties of the VP of Finance include managing accounting operations, compiling and evaluating financial data, and creating financial reports.
In the end, you'll collaborate closely with our organization's president to make sure that everything is still going as planned so that we can achieve our objectives.
Responsibilities
- Prepare accurate and timely analyses, summaries, and reports of financial data on the company's operating progress.
- Make sure you include a minimum cash threshold to cover operational needs in the process and reporting structure for your dependable cash flow projections.
- Review revenue cycle metrics on a regular basis to spot and proactively address problems influencing overall performance.
- Organize the company's adherence to all applicable state and federal regulations.
- Ensure the organization achieves its revenue goals by working with senior leaders.
- Set criteria for gauging operations and financial performance.
- Keep track of and compare monthly operating results to the budget.
- Manage the creation of all financial reports.
- Oversee the day-to-day activities of the finance and accounting department.
- Control the process of creating financial outlooks and projections.
- Do financial analysis in preparation for contract negotiations and product investment decisions.
- Ensure that local, state, and federal budget reporting requirements are followed.
- Create five-year business strategies in collaboration with department managers.
- Help create the department's short- and long-term goals, objectives, operational processes, and policies.
Requirements
- Proven track record as VP of Finance or related position
- Comprehensive understanding of accounting, audit, tax compliance, and other regulatory issues
- Proficient in the principles and procedures of fiscal management, including resource management and needs assessment
- To set and monitor revenue goals, collaborate with the chief revenue officer and the CEO
- Critically understands federal and state tax rules as well as fundamental accounting concepts
- It is preferable to have a Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
