We are seeking an experienced travel agent to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for helping our clients plan and book their travel arrangements, including flights, accommodations, and tours. As a travel agent, you will provide excellent customer service, demonstrate a strong knowledge of various travel destinations and industry trends, and use your organizational skills to manage multiple bookings and itineraries simultaneously. The ideal candidate will also possess a passion for travel and a desire to share it with others.

Travel agent responsibilities:

• Provide exceptional customer service to clients looking to book travel arrangements.
• Use your knowledge of various travel destinations to suggest and book appropriate itineraries based on clients' needs and preferences.
• Handle all bookings, including flights, accommodations, transportation, and tours.
• Maintain accurate records of each client's travel arrangements, payments, and itineraries.
• Communicate frequently with clients before, during, and after their trips to ensure they have a seamless travel experience.
• Stay up-to-date with industry trends and destination knowledge to make informed recommendations to clients.
• Collaborate with team members to meet sales targets and drive business growth.
• Address any issues or concerns that arise with clients during their travel and work to resolve them to the best of your abilities.

Requirements:

• Proven experience as a travel agent or in a similar role within the travel industry
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment while maintaining a high level of organizational skills and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills, both oral and written, with a strong ability to build and maintain relationships with clients and suppliers alike
• In-depth knowledge of popular travel destinations, as well as current industry trends and regulations
• Proficiency in travel booking software programs and online booking platforms
• Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as alongside team members to achieve sales targets and maintain client satisfaction
• A passion for travel and a desire to share that passion with clients, along with a customer-first mentality and strong problem-solving skills
