Our company has an exciting opportunity for a highly organized and leadership-focused Training Manager to join our team! Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in training and development and be adept at overseeing and managing a department. The key focus of the position is to manage the training department, its staff, and key functions.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with department managers to ascertain suitability for training schedules and delivery of training.
- Liaise with external training providers to collaborate on training delivery.
- Review training practices and ensure training is delivered in line with company policy.
- Manage the training delivery and administration team.
- Review and analyze the training department budget.
- Develop regular reports to evidence training and improvement in training attendance and delivery.
- Review, analyze and work to amend training policies as needed.
- Review and amend or develop KPIs for the department as required.
- Prepare forecasts and reports on both financials and performance for senior personnel.
- Oversee the recruitment, retention, and development of team members in the training department.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in either human resources, business, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of previous experience in a similar role
- Minimum of 5 years of previous experience in a focused training role
- Strong understanding of training processes, benefits, and more
- Ability to communicate with internal and external team members
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships
- Good listening skills, with high levels of attention to detail
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office platforms
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize own workload
