Our company has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and knowledgeable Training Director to join our team! Our ideal candidate will demonstrate a wealth of experience in training and development, with previous experience in a management or senior role. The key focus of the position is to direct the training department effectively in its operations, ensuring suitable and viable training is delivered in a timely manner and within budget!
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with trainers in the training department to understand their current training process and review and analyze those processes to make effective changes and improvements to current processes.
- Liaise with external training providers to compare pricing structure and service deliverables for the department.
- Review training practices, and make changes to the current process where needed.
- Coordinate with department managers to understand where training is lacking or needs to be improved.
- Keep track of the training budget, ensuring sufficient funds are allocated.
- Develop regular forecasts and reports for senior executives on the training provided both internally and externally.
- Manage and oversee the training team.
- Coordinate the delivery of certificates of training to the correct personnel.
- Ensure complete compliance within the training department, ordering regular audits.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in either human resources, business, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of previous experience in a similar role
- Minimum of 5 years of previous experience in a focused training role
- Strong understanding of training processes, benefits, and more
- Ability to communicate with internal and external team members
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships
- Good listening skills, with high levels of attention to detail
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft office platforms
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize own workload
- Strong understanding of business goals and objectives
- Ability to implement KPIs and SLAs as required
- Strong leadership skills
