Job brief
We are seeking a resourceful and organized TV Producer to generate new concepts, oversee projects from start to finish, and network with connections to secure project funding.
Responsibilities
- Come up with new concepts and ideas.
- Find and hire suitable directors for each project.
- Secure financing for projects.
- Acquire the rights to relevant books, media, songs, footage, or plays when necessary.
- Work with the legal department to discuss copyright provisions and other issues.
- Craft budget and manage project timelines.
- Edit scripts where required and meet with consultants to ensure quality content is produced.
- Meet with the director on a regular basis to discuss characters and scenes.
- Troubleshoot any issues that develop during the production process.
- Ensure that all necessary rules, codes of practice, and health and safety guidelines are followed.
Requirements
- Degree in film and production or relevant field
- 5+ years of producer or TV producing position experience
- Good organizational and time management skills
- Strong people skills
- Willingness to work irregular hours
- Network in the industry
- Work well under pressure
- Self-motivation and the ability to motivate others
- Excellent presentation and pitching skills
