Responsibilities
- Examining tax regulations.
- Helping with state and IRS audits.
- Gathering data and presenting clients with best practice solutions.
- Preparing tax compliance for quarterly and yearly.
- Preparing state and federal income taxes.
- collaborating with colleagues in audit firms.
- Fill out and submit all paperwork required by the department and clients.
- Examine the records submitted for the entire department.
- Create and keep an eye on the yearly tax calendar.
- Tax provisions are prepared on a quarterly and annual basis.
- Upkeep of databases necessary to support departmental tax activities, including certificates of sales tax exemption and responses from tax authorities.
- Reconciling, updating, and managing Oracle tax fixed asset ledgers.
- Utilizing Oracle to compute and reconcile the Federal, AMT, State, and other specific depreciation books.
- Confirming that tax returns are submitted in line with the appropriate tax authorities.
Requirements
- BSC/BA in Accounting and Finance, Business, and other related fields
- Proven work experience as a Tax Specialist or similar role
- A keen eye for detail
- A history of success as a tax specialist, analyst, accountant, or other related position
- Strong familiarity with accounting regulations and rules
- Knowledge of accounting software
- Strong numerical abilities
- Exceptional analytical abilities
