Job brief
We are seeking a dynamic, driven, and service-focused Supply Chain Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of experience in logistics and supply chain and be adept at managing a team of personnel. The role’s focus will be to ensure the smooth running of the supply chain and logistics as the business requires, as well as managing a dedicated team and ensuring maximum productivity within the department.
Responsibilities
- Collaborates with purchasing, operations, and logistics managers respectively to understand and ascertain the operating requirements for the business supply chain.
- Coordinates and manages the transport of goods from various locations.
- Ensures the supply chain is fulfilled with required produce/products.
- Manages the team of supply chain personnel from administrators through to front line workers such as pickers, packers, etc.
- Liaise with clients, including stakeholders, shareholders, and external vendors as required.
- Provide training to all personnel under your leadership as required.
- Lead and manage the team to ensure optimum productivity within the department
- Provide reports on department performance and profit and loss.
- Justify expenditure where required.
- Work alongside the HR department to help to hire new team members where required.
- Ensure proper health and safety on-site at all times.
- Provide excellent customer services to clients and stakeholders alike.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in procurement and supply chain, operations management, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in the logistics or supply chain industry
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Confident with all computer programs including, Excel, Word, and Outlook
- Experience with providing reports and providing detailed presentations
- Excellent leadership abilities
- Confident to delegate workloads
- Sound knowledge of the supply chain industry and its functions
- Demonstrated experience in a managerial role
- Demonstrated knowledge of various computer systems relating to supply chain management
