Job brief
We are seeking a detail-focused, professional Stocker to join our team! The ideal fit for the role will have previous experience in a similar role, have a keen eye for detail and be able to reach physically, and lift up to 15kg. The key focus of the position is to ensure shelves are stocked properly and in an aesthetically pleasing appearance with the correct prices attached to each item.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the unloading of stock from incoming trucks.
- Ensure that pallets and goods are checked for quality and damage.
- Report any damages or defective stock to management.
- Unload pallets and use a pallet truck to move items around the store to the desired location.
- Re-stock items as needed ensuring they are in a neat and tidy arrangement.
- Ensure stock goes in the correct place and prices correspond.
- Assist with re-pricing and re-labeling of shelves when needed.
- Keep the stock count up to date on various forms or on the computer system to assist with inventory and ordering.
- Work in line with current sales promotions, ensuring all promotional items are placed correctly and in an appealing location and arrangement.
Requirements
- High School Diploma
- 2 years' experience in a similar role
- Ability to work independently
- A forklift license would be a big advantage
- Good attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Physically able to lift up to 15kg
- Basic understanding of health and safety in the workplace
- Strong problem-solving skills
