Job Brief
We are looking for a highly driven, organized, and customer-focused person to join our team as a Service Writer. The ideal applicant will be able to successfully engage with customers and service personnel, and they will have prior customer service experience, ideally in the automotive industry.
Responsibilities
- Greet customers and assist with check-in and check-out processes for service appointments.
- Listen to customer concerns and document them accurately.
- Provide estimates for service repairs and maintenance based on customer needs and technician recommendations.
- Communicate with service technicians to ensure timely and efficient completion of repairs.
- Follow up with customers to ensure satisfaction with service provided.
- Maintain accurate records of customer interactions and service history.
- Ensure service department is kept clean and organized.
- Assist with parts ordering and inventory management.
- Uphold company policies and procedures related to customer service and data protection.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
- Minimum of two to three years of experience in customer service, preferably in the automotive industry
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Good listening skills and high level of attention to detail
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize workload
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Capacity to perform effectively in a high-pressure and fast-paced setting
- Proficiency in analytical thinking and strong aptitude in resolving complex problems
- Knowledge of automotive systems and repair procedures is preferred, but not required
