Job brief
We are seeking a detail-focused, experienced, and professional Senior Service Coordinator to join our team! The ideal fit for the role will have a strong background in both mechanics and electrics and experience servicing and fixing a wide variety of equipment. The key focus of the position is to support the maintenance and repair effort by attending customers' premises to complete repairs and services as required.
Responsibilities
- Ascertain service schedules for equipment in the field and ensure they are serviced on time and in line with manufacturer recommendations.
- Liaise with Dispatch and Field Service Representatives to ensure that all repairs are logged, noted, and carried out.
- Request parts and service equipment to be ordered.
- Explain, in simple terms, the faults and repairs required for equipment.
- Work on mechanical and electrical equipment.
- Provide great customer service.
- Write up and submit reports regarding faults, preventative repairs, and maintenance and service information.
- Inspect, diagnose and troubleshoot equipment as needed.
- Keep logs of repeated failures and make recommendations when equipment must be replaced.
- Continuously educate yourself on new and emerging technologies and machinery.
- Use hand, power, air, and battery tools to complete repairs and services.
Requirements
- Associates Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- 2 years' experience in a similar role or apprenticeship training
- A certificate in Electrics would be an advantage
- Detail-focused, with good problem-solving skills
- Strong customer service skills
- Sound knowledge of maintenance techniques
- Demonstrated ability to use various tools, including power tools and air tools
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Able to multi-task effectively
