Senior Project Engineer job description

Job brief

We are seeking a detail-focused, knowledgeable and professional Senior Project Engineer to join our team! The ideal fit for the role will have demonstrated experience working on various projects and successfully managing the technical aspects of those projects. The key focus of the position is to manage and monitor the technical and mechanical aspects of any given project, ensuring effective running within budget and time frame.

Responsibilities

• Ascertain the project goals, budgets, and overall key factors.
• Plan, schedule, and predict technical difficulties that may arise during the project.
• Provide a suitable resource to the project to ensure viability.
• Ensure the project is of high quality from start to finish.
• Use project management software to keep track of the project.
• Set KPIs and goals for the project with the project team.
• Liaise with the project team to understand any issues or delays in the project.
• Provide technical advice and support to other team members working on the project.
• Provide project reports to executives.
• Work in line with health and safety guidelines.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Engineering or related field
• Demonstrated experience in a similar role
• Excellent computer skills, previous experience with project management software
• Strong analytical skills, with keen attention to detail
• Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
• Able to work to agreed deadlines and timescales
• Demonstrated knowledge of health and safety guidelines
• Good problem-solving abilities
• Ability to prioritize own time and workload
