We are seeking a diverse, professional, and dynamic Senior Healthcare Administrator to join our team! The ideal fit for the role will have a strong background in healthcare administration and be dynamic and adaptable to suit the needs of the business, along with strong communication and computer skills. The key focus of the position is to provide broad-range administration support to the business.
Responsibilities
- General administration duties, such as keeping staff and patient records up to date.
- Chasing up providers to find out ETA for patients.
- Liaising with providers to add new services when needed.
- Ensuring medical release forms are received and filed for each patient whose information is being shared.
- Liaise with medical insurance companies to ensure patients are covered.
- Assist with chasing up payments from insurers and patients directly.
- Match up payments coming into bills/invoices and pass them to the accounts department.
- Keep patients' information and insurance provider information up to date.
- Keep a neat and easy-to-use filing system.
- Assist with onboarding new providers and gathering necessary paperwork.
- Process all incoming and outgoing mail.
- Write communications when instructed on behalf of the facility.
- Supervise other healthcare administrators on the job.
Requirements
- Associate degree or above in business administration, healthcare administration or 3 years previous experience in a similar role
- 2 years’ experience as an administrator, preferably within a healthcare setting
- Strong computer skills with the knowledge of EMR/EHR systems
- Confident multi-tasker with the ability to organize own workload and the workload of others
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent customer service skills with a polite telephone manner
- Strong knowledge of Microsoft office and schedule management
- Confident, independent worker, able to work with minimal supervision
