We are looking for a motivated and energetic sales assistant to join our team. As a sales assistant, you will be an instrumental member of our sales team, responsible for supporting our sales representatives in achieving their targets. You will help to drive sales by providing excellent customer service and administrative assistance.

Sales assistant responsibilities

• Communicate with customers, both in person and over the phone, to answer queries and provide assistance to drive sales.
• Collaborate with sales representatives to identify opportunities for upselling and cross-selling products or services.
• Process sales orders and ensure timely and accurate delivery of products or services.
• Manage and maintain accurate records of customer interactions and sales activities.
• Assist in developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve targets and meet revenue goals.
• Liaise with other departments, such as marketing and logistics, to ensure smooth operations and support for sales activities.
• Monitor market trends and competitor activities to identify potential areas of growth and improvement.
• Participate in training and development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge related to sales.

Requirements

• Proven experience as a sales assistant or in a similar role preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build good relationships with customers and colleagues
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail to manage customer records, orders and inventory management
• Ability to work collaboratively with a sales team and other departments within the organization
• Familiarity with sales techniques and tactics to identify potential customers and drive sales
• Proficiency in using sales-related software and tools such as CRM systems, Microsoft Office suite
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet targets under pressure
