Job brief
We are seeking a passionate, driven, and dynamic Resource Manager to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience within the HR and recruitment industries with some experience in a supervisory or managerial role. The focus of the role is to oversee the resource team, develop and implement effective resourcing initiatives and plans for the business, and assist with staffing new and upcoming projects to ensure that business goals are met.
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with department managers, project managers, and HR teams to determine the requirements for staff for up-and-coming projects and openings.
- Oversee the resource team to ensure work is completed to a high standard.
- Develop and implement resource and recruitment strategies for the resource staff, staffing experts, and recruitment teams.
- Work as part of a team and collaborate within the team to ensure a full understanding of the open roles, upcoming projects, and their requirements.
- Develop and run marketing campaigns to attract new potential employees to the business.
- Ensure that resource staff is advertising and maintaining job adverts properly, whilst ensuring that the business has access to the latest tools to assist with the staffing effort.
- Create and provide reports to the executive directors on how well roles are being filled and how staff retention is impacting various parts of the business.
- Develop and implement a process for effective advertising, screening, interviewing, and onboarding procedures within the resource department and ensure they are followed.
- Hold overall performance reviews with colleagues to address any issues and ensure development and training are provided where required.
- Develop and implement effective training and induction courses for new hires and existing team members and ensure an effective schedule for such.
- Manage the payroll function and ensure all payroll is completed to a high standard and without errors.
- Manage and distribute initiatives such as signing bonuses for new employees.
- Ensure the staff members are keeping the HR systems and ATS systems up to date.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Human Resource or business management or other related field, or equivalent experience and education
- Demonstrated experience in resource management or as a recruitment supervisor
- Excellent organizational abilities with the ability to work under pressure to agreed on deadlines and targets
- Good listening skills along with excellent written and oral communication skills
- Excellent attention to detail with strong analytical skills
- Superb problem-solving abilities
- Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with persons at all levels
- A great educator and effective trainer
- Experienced with the development and implementation of procedures and plans
- Excellent leadership abilities with a keen eye for delegation and identifying people's best skills and abilities
- Able to motivate a team and a great people manager
- Proficient with the use of all Microsoft packages and various HR and ATS systems
