Job brief
We are seeking a service-focused, professional, and care-oriented Resident Assistant to join our team! The ideal candidate must possess a wealth of experience in providing care and assistance in a residential care setting. The key focus of the role is to provide care, assistance, and support to residents within the medical or living facility, tending to any requests and monitoring the overall quality of residence provided.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that new residents are processed according to company policy, taking information and inputting it into the residential database.
- Assign rooms or living quarters to new residents.
- Liaise with existing residents to gather feedback on their experiences and make notes of improvements and take on board feedback.
- Assist residents with their requests for items and supplies, such as furniture, bedding, towels, books, etc.
- Collaborate with residential manager to improve overall residence quality.
- Develop reports to provide to residence management.
- Keep residents' information up to date on the system, including emergency contact information etc.
- Keep residents up to date with ongoing improvement work or other things going on within the facility.
- Assist with input on care plans and activity schedules.
- Deal with incoming and outgoing mail.
Requirements
- Associate degree or above in Healthcare Administration, Business management, or other related fields
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a health aid role, preferably in a residential setting
- Demonstrated understanding of industry guidelines and best practices
- Able to effectively write reports, fill out the information on charts and give feedback
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Adept with using computer programs such as Microsoft Office and EMR systems
- Patient and kind in nature
- Good problem-solving skills
- Great attention to detail
- Excellent coordination skills and highly effective administrator
- Good customer service skills
- Knowledge of safeguarding regulations and their action processes
