The recreation worker will be responsible for developing and implementing new programs and activities to meet the needs of our clients. You will maintain accurate records and documentation of all activities and programs, ensure that all equipment and facilities are clean, safe, and in good working order, and provide excellent customer service to all clients and participants. Recreation Workers Responsibilities

• Organize and supervise recreational activities, events, and programs.
• Develop and implement new programs and activities to meet the needs of our clients.
• Maintain accurate records and documentation of all activities and programs.
• Ensure that all equipment and facilities are clean, safe, and in good working order.
• Provide excellent customer service to all clients and participants.
• Collaborate with other recreation workers to coordinate activities and events.
• Assist with marketing and promoting recreational programs to increase participation.
• Provide first aid and emergency care as needed.
• Attend regular training sessions and workshops to stay current with new trends and best practices in recreation.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Bachelor's degree in recreation, sports management, or a related field preferred
• 2+ years of experience working in a recreation or sports environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong leadership and organizational abilities
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
• Current CPR and First Aid certification
• Must be able to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed
• Experience with Microsoft Office and other software programs used in recreation management is a plus
