Job brief
We are seeking a creative and charismatic Record Producer with a good understanding of music, chords, instruments, music software, and other relevant skills to assist in the production of music.
Responsibilities
- Write or assist in writing lyrics for artists.
- Review songs including lyrics and chords to ensure optimal production.
- Coach musicians and singers during studio sessions.
- Oversee the recording of music.
- Compose original musical scores and beats.
- Select background music for musicians.
- Network and maintain relationships with producers, artists, and other management in the music industry.
- Prepare a production schedule and meet with the artist to discuss it.
- Consult engineers about any equipment that may be required, and purchase additional equipment.
- Organize the hiring of session musicians if necessary, and give them a briefing when they arrive at the studio.
Requirements
- 7+ years of experience in producing music and working with artists
- Deep knowledge of music theory, chords, and instruments
- Skills in audio mixing
- Strong listening skills
- Fantastic interpersonal skills
- Broad music production vocabulary
- Good time management
