Job brief
We are seeking a Radiologist who will provide radiology services while exercising independent judgment, act as a consultant with other physicians, and be responsible for radiology examinations provided to our patients. The imaging methods used are ultrasound, breast imaging, CT scan, MRI, and X-ray (fluoroscopy and simple radiography). The ideal candidate for the role should be board-certified in Diagnostic Radiology and should have fellowship and extensive clinical experience from a reputable institution in radiology.
Responsibilities
- Perform general and special radiography procedures in accordance with common standards of Practice.
- Perform quality assurance procedures.
- Ensure imagery taken are of sound quality to prevent repeat procedures.
- Assist in facilitating blood work by taking blood samples and tissue specimens to labs for processing.
- Operate and ensure that medical imaging and ancillary equipment are performing in an effective and efficient manner.
- Prepare necessary written and electronic reports to document all procedures and test results.
- Take inventory to ensure an adequate level of products and supplies to support daily operations.
Requirements
- Graduate of an accredited and reputable program of Medical Imaging and possession of valid liability insurance
- Prior radiologic technologist knowledge and experience in a complex, fast-paced interprofessional team environment
- Sound research and reporting skills
- Strong initiative, organizational, and decision-making skills are essential
- Must have excellent communication skills
