Job brief
We are in search of a Quality Control Manager to oversee the quality of goods moving in and out of the enterprise as well as to ensure that the workplace follows health and safety regulations and laws.
Responsibilities
- Develop a deep understanding of the client's requirements and needs, and communicate them along with its quality standards to the production teams.
- Conduct surveys to identify customer requirements and ensure they are being met by established quality standards
- Arranging the requirements of materials from suppliers and overseeing their compliance.
- Creating ways to improve the manufacturing process to assure higher-quality results.
- Crafting, reviewing, and improving new procedures and specifications for processes and products, and training the staff to utilize them.
- Supervise technicians, inspectors, and other staff members to provide guidance support.
- Ensure legal requirements are followed and ascertain compliance with regulatory bodies along with safety and health guidelines and regulations.
- Monitoring product development processes to determine any deviations from quality standards.
- Collecting feedback from clients, attending meetings, hand in reports, and assisting with external inspectors and auditors.
- Evaluate final results comparing it to the obligations, and rejecting and approving products.
- Perform statistical analysis and maintain accurate documentation.
- Carry out research to identify ways to reduce waste and maximize resources.
- Collaborate with an organization’s purchasing manager to ensure raw materials from external suppliers meet quality requirements.
- Make recommendations to company management on ways to improve on existing quality processes.
- Collect, compile, and analyze relevant quality statistical data to obtain information regarding quality performance.
- Conduct tests to verify the quality of raw materials and finished products.
- Review existing process and product specification to identify the need for improvement or upgrade.
- Approve compliant products and reject defective ones.
- Prepare and present reports to update upper management on quality activities.
- Maintain proper records of quality tests, procedures and standards.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration
- 4+ years of management experience
- 2+ years with FMCG or manufacturing or related work
- Strong knowledge of legal frameworks regulating products and regulations of health and safety requirements for workplaces
- Leadership skills
- Data analytical skills
- Fantastic communication skills
