Job brief
We are seeking a patient-focused, kind, and caring Psychologist to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience in making psychological evaluations of clients’ needs and conditions and have provided counseling and treatment to various types of people! The focus of the role is to monitor, assess, diagnose, and treat patients with psychological complaints, issues, or conditions.
Responsibilities
- Consult with patients, listen, and ask questions about the issues or problems they are facing.
- Gather relevant information from patients and 3rd party entities such as counselors and other health service providers.
- Assess the patients' conditions and make a diagnosis.
- Create and develop a treatment plan to improve or solve the patient’s condition.
- Work with the patient to provide counseling and/or therapy sessions to each patient.
- Monitor the progress of patients and ensure that milestones and improvements are logged in the patients' file.
- Make referrals and recommendations to other healthcare providers when needed.
- Pay attention to small changes and deteriorations in a patient and take action when needed.
- Work in line with patient confidentiality and safeguarding guidelines.
Requirements
- Masters’ degree in Psychology or related field
- Minimum of years’ working experience in a similar role
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Good problem-solving skills
- High level of attention to detail
- Able to observe and monitor for long periods of time
- Strong writing skills with the ability to notarise events quickly
- Demonstrated administrative and report writing skills
- Kind, compassionate, and caring in nature
- Good knowledge of patient confidentiality guidelines and safeguarding practices
