Property Manager job description

Job Brief

We are looking for a responsible and organized Property Manager to oversee the daily operations of our rental properties. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, a customer-focused mindset, and a strong attention to detail. The Property Manager will be responsible for managing tenant relations, rent collection, maintenance, and other related duties.

Responsibilities

• Manage tenant relations by responding to inquiries, resolving issues and complaints, and maintaining positive relationships with tenants.
• Collect rent and fees in a timely manner, keeping accurate records of payments and ensuring that tenants comply with lease agreements.
• Handle maintenance and repair requests from tenants, hiring and supervising contractors as needed to make necessary repairs and upgrades.
• Conduct regular inspections of rental properties to identify maintenance needs, safety concerns, and other issues.
• Develop and implement effective marketing strategies to attract new tenants and retain existing ones.
• Prepare and maintain accurate financial records, including budgets, reports, and other relevant documentation.
• Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations governing rental properties.
• Address legal issues related to rental properties, including eviction proceedings, lease violations, and other related matters.
• Develop and maintain relationships with local vendors, suppliers, and other professionals to support the management of rental properties.

Requirements

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to interact effectively with tenants, vendors, and other professionals
• Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• Attention to detail and a commitment to accuracy in all aspects of property management
• Knowledge of local, state, and federal regulations governing rental properties, including fair housing laws and eviction procedures
• Experience in property management, real estate, or a related field preferred
• Proficiency in relevant software applications and tools, including property management software, Microsoft Office, and accounting software
• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Real Estate, or a related field preferred
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as needed
