Plumber’s Helper job description

Job brief

We are looking for a skilled Plumber’s Helper to join our team! As one of our plumbers, you would be responsible for installing the needed piping to allow the flow of water and gasses in and out of a building.

Responsibilities

• Always be available on-hand to assist the head plumber on the job.
• Carefully review the blueprints for the project.
• Ensure that you have the needed supplies and equipment to complete the project.
• Install and repair the needed valves, fittings, drainage systems, etc.
• Routinely inspect piping systems to ensure they are in good working order.
• Respond to calls regarding failed plumbing.
• Troubleshoot and fix any plumbing problems that may arise.
• Keep accurate records of all work done.

Requirements

• Must have a valid high school diploma or an equivalent, as well as a state plumbers license
• Previous work experience is strongly preferred
• Must display the ability to safely and efficiently use basic hand tools
• Must be able to remain in compliance with all safety rules and regulations
• Interpret detailed drawings and blueprints
• Be a strong problem solver with a critical mind
• Must pay close attention to detail
• Must be a hard and efficient worker
• Capable of working in a variety of positions and work conditions
