Pipeline Inspector job description

Job brief

We are seeking a Pipeline Inspector to oversee the construction and assess the state of pipelines, and provide suggestions for repairs and replacements to ensure the safety and functionality of delivery lines.

Responsibilities

• Independently conduct a full range of inspections of pipeline facilities to ensure that compliance standards are met using Field Evaluation forms.
• Use specialized equipment such as odor meters, multimeters, X-ray, and Ultrasonic when required.
• Follow applicable regulations and guidelines, professional standards, and supervisory directives in order to assess compliance.
• Conduct pipeline safety evaluations as well as accident and incident investigations.
• Review construction schematics and permits.
• Oversee the pipelines during construction reviewing welding procedures and use of proper material to ensure compliance.
• Document pipeline faults and present solutions to fix defects.

Requirements

• Bachelor in Engineering or related field
• x+ years of experience conducting pipeline inspections or similar
• Pipeline Construction Inspector certified
• Excellent knowledge of PHSMA and OSHA regulations
• Willing to travel to sites and able to work independently
• Valid driver’s license
