Job brief

We are seeking a professional, personable Physiatrist to join our team! The ideal candidate will have previous experience in patient assessment and be adept at liaising with other healthcare professionals. The role's main focus is to provide assessment and pre-treatment screening for patients requiring physical therapy.

Responsibilities

• Meet with patients after referral to discuss the treatment options available to them.
• Examine patients who require physical therapy.
• Make assessments of patients and their needs for future care.
• Develop recommendations and care plans to provide information to other healthcare professionals.
• Determine appropriate treatment programs as required on an individual basis.
• Advise the patient as to what extent their involvement should be in physical therapy.
• Instruct physical therapists on what treatment to give.
• Keep a case file for each patient and regularly update it.
• Provide reports on patients' progress and make adjustments to care plans to reflect progress.
• Discharge patients where required.
• Attend various conferences and industry workshops to maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry standards.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree or above in Physiotherapy or a related field
• Two years’ experience in a Physio based role
• Certification from a relevant board in your country relating to practicing medical professionals
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Collaborative working style
• Highly organized
• Good Problem-solving skills
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to design care plans
• Knowledge of patient confidentiality guidelines
