Our company has an exciting opportunity for a highly organized, creative, and fashion-focused Photoshoot Stylist to join our team! Our ideal candidate will have a demonstrated background in styling various types of people for various reasons. The focus of the role will be to effectively style models, talk-show hosts, and everyday people for their photoshoots.
Responsibilities
- Understand the purpose of the photoshoot and the particular theme that is being undertaken.
- Analyze the person, understanding their needs from styling, i.e., hair, makeup, specific clothing or accessories, their clothes size, body type, and what would flatter and look good on them.
- Ensure styling in line with the photoshoot requirements/theme.
- Style backgrounds as required with flowers or other accessories.
- Ensure all photoshoot furniture and accessories are styled in accordance with the process or requirement of the client.
- Arrange the delivery or hire of clothing, jewelry, accessories, and more for the photoshoot.
- Arrange the hire or purchase of any relevant props.
- Complete styling for the clients ensuring they fit with the photoshoot theme and look their very best.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in either photography, fashion, and textile, or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years of previous experience in a similar role
- Strong fashion and clothing knowledge
- Ability to communicate with vendors and suppliers
- Strong knowledge of the fashion and design industry
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good interpersonal skills with the ability to build strong relationships
- Good listening skills, with high levels of attention to detail
- Strong working knowledge of photography, photoshoots, etc
- Ability to multi-task and prioritize own workload
