Job brief
We are seeking a highly knowledgeable and customer-focused Pharmaceutical Sales Representative to join our team! Our ideal candidate will have a strong background in pharmaceutical sales and be confident when liaising with suppliers and vendors. The focus of the role is to develop and maintain lasting and trusting relationships with vendors and suppliers who will carry and stock our products in their pharmacies.
Responsibilities
- Conduct relevant market research into various vendors and pharmacies that may be interested in stocking our products.
- Build a pipeline of potential pharmacies or vendors to contact, ensuring accurate information is detailed.
- Make initial contact with various vendors or pharmacies either via phone, email, or social media to introduce our company and the products we provide.
- Attend meetings with potential clients, explain the products we provide, their benefits, and why they should carry our brand.
- Close deals and write RPF’s and service level agreements for clients, ensuring accurate information is included as agreed and discussed with the vendor/pharmacy.
- Work in line with sales targets and KPIs.
- Ensure new client information is accurately input into the company's database.
- Complete after-sales support and continuous business development with the client, cross-selling and up-selling where possible.
- Liaise with the operations team to ensure that supply can keep up with demand.
- Produce monthly or quarterly sales reports for management.
Requirements
- Bachelors’ degree in science or related field
- Minimum of 2 years previous experience in a similar role
- A keen eye for detail
- Confident working in a target-driven environment
- Strong ability to foster relationships with potential clients
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good technical and computer skills
- Strong independent working abilities
- Demonstrated research skills
- Confident in data analysis and reporting
- Highly organized and able to manage own workload
