We are seeking a diverse, professional, and dynamic Paediatrician to join our team! The ideal fit for the role will have a strong background in infant and children’s medicine and overall care. The key focus of the position is to ensure tracking of growth and development in infants and children, provide healthy living advice to parents, and provide general medical advice.
Responsibilities
- Make assessments of patients' overall health and wellness and conduct examinations to uncover any underlying illnesses, infections, or diseases in young children.
- Listen to parents to ascertain any potential problems such as food allergies, skin allergies, or other conditions that may arise.
- Make a diagnosis of any medical condition, illness, or otherwise, and create a patient file.
- Prescribe medication and special diets or make referrals to other healthcare professionals when needed.
- Advise parents on general wellness for their children, including healthy diet and activity programs.
- Make notes of improvements and changes to children as they grow and develop.
- Administer and track immunizations for infants, ensuring proper immunization and that all records are kept.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in biology or related field
- Doctor of Medicine with a focus on pediatrician
- 4 years of internship or externship experience in medical school, focusing on treating children
- Licensed to practice by the board in your region
- Strong knowledge of the human body and its functions, as well as potential diseases, conditions, and illnesses that can appear in younger patients
- Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
- Excellent relationship-building and interpersonal skills
- Strong knowledge of medical terminology and medications
- A keen eye for details with the ability to notice small changes or developments
- Strong administrative and record-keeping abilities
- Good problem-solving skills
- Strong knowledge of EMR systems with the ability to accurately record patient information
- Understanding of patient confidentiality guidelines
