Job brief
We are seeking an experienced, dynamic, and professional Pathologist to join our team! The ideal, suitable candidate will have strong research and investigative skills, along with being adept in specimen sampling and running tests. The focus of the role is to research, investigate and suggest potential treatment options based on solid research.
Responsibilities
- Work both independently and in an effective team to investigate, research, and suggest potential treatment based on research and findings.
- Conduct tests from the research conducted to investigate if the treatment is viable.
- Detail specimen tests.
- Write reports on findings detailing specimen tests, results of those tests, and final outcomes or diagnosis.
- Conduct thorough research to help identify new and evolving treatments.
- Improve identification and research methods.
- Find innovative ways to treat diseases and conditions.
- Determine the presence and stage of disease from test samples.
- Liaise with other healthcare professionals to obtain samples and other required information.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in biology, the physical sciences field, or a related field
- Doctor of Medicine (MD) or a Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine (DO) degree
- Minimum four years’ internship/residency training in pathology
- Completion of relevant examination and license or certification to practice as a pathologist in the country/state you reside
- Valid and currently active medical license in the state/country you wish to practice
- Experience using lab testing equipment, such as microscopes and flow cytometers
- Working knowledge of medical data management software, including MEDITECH Anatomical Pathology, PATHLOGIX, and ASPYRA CyberLAB
- High levels of analytical and research skills
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
