Job brief
We need an experienced Safety Engineer to join our team! In this position, you would be asked to protect the safety of our employees, equipment, and facilities by ensuring we remain in compliance with all applicable rules and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Inspect equipment and working conditions to identify any weak areas that must be strengthened.
- Make suggestions to improve company safety policies to mitigate risks and ensure we remain in compliance with local and federal rules and regulations.
- Conduct incident investigations to determine whether safety policies were followed or not.
- Train our employees on the various safety methods utilized by the company by compiling sufficient safety training.
- Help test new equipment and procedures to ensure they will positively affect the safety and productivity of our work environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in a related engineering field
- Excellent communication skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Must be able to collaborate well with a team
- Must be knowledgeable on current safety protocols and OSHA standards
- Must be able to effectively manage time and motivate other employees
