Job brief
We need a proactive Legal Counsel to advise us! In this position, you would be responsible for advising our members on the effects that new and existing laws will have on our company.
Responsibilities
- Remain up to date on new laws and regulations passed that might affect the way in which our company operates.
- Ensure that our company’s processes remain in compliance with all existing laws and regulations.
- Provide any needed legal counsel.
- Interpret and clarify any vague language in-laws and regulations as they apply to the company.
- Aid with the drafting of contracts and other legal agreements used by the company.
- Watch for and research any risk factors our company may come across and aid with the planning needed to avoid and mitigate all unnecessary risks.
- Negotiate with all external parties that the company may deal with.
Requirements
- Strong knowledge of corporate laws as they pertain to the company
- Degree in law and/or business administration is required
- Must be able to effectively analyze situations and manage and mitigate risks
- Must possess a high level of integrity and a strong moral character
- Must be an excellent communicator
