Inspector (Oil, Gas & Chemicals) job description

Job brief

We are looking for an Oil, Gas & Chemicals Inspector that has a strong sense of integrity! The ideal candidate will be accountable for inspecting different oil and petroleum sites and operations to ensure they are safe, following all regulations, and in compliance with environmental laws.

Responsibilities

• Perform investigations and inspections at local oil and gas exploration sites and production facilities, as well as inspect their modes of transportation.
• Conduct tests to determine the effect said corporations have on the environment surrounding them.
• Ensure all such operations are not posing a health or safety risk to the community around them.
• Ensure that all waste related to the work is handled in a safe and responsible manner.
• Aid with the plugging up of old and abandoned well sites.

Requirements

• Must have at least four years working in the oil drilling industry
• Pay close attention to small details
• Remain posted and up to date on all current and future changes to regulations regarding the oil and gas industry
• Must be able to conduct thorough investigations and inspections
• Must have a strong knowledge of oil field drilling and production methods and their effects
• Must be capable of maintaining detailed and accurate records
