We are seeking a diverse, professional, and dynamic Nursing Supervisor to join our team! The ideal fit for the role will have a strong background in healthcare and working with nurses. The key focus of the position is to provide a link between hospital management, nurses, and clinical care.
Responsibilities
- Oversee patient care operations, ensuring the facility is working in line with set objectives, service level agreements, and regulatory guidelines.
- Assign staff nurses and curate effective rotas to always ensure proper coverage.
- Monitor the performance and work of nurses and address any issues that arise as soon as possible.
- Identify areas for improvements, either in service, quality, or otherwise.
- Develop and implement improvement initiatives, and provide guidance, training, and assistance to team members during the implementation phases of new initiatives or procedures.
- Oversee the nursing department as a whole, monitor varying factors, and provide reports to senior management on productivity, cost, budget adherence, and other information as required.
- Liaise with senior managers to implement and adhere to budgets for the nursing department.
- Assist with creating and setting attainable objectives for the department.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or above in Nursing
- Minimum of 2 years' hands-on experience as a nurse
- Minimum of 1 years’ experience in management, admin/supervisory role relating to nursing
- Registered as a nurse by the issuing body in your region
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent administrative abilities
- Strong leadership qualities
- Demonstrated ability to make critical decisions
- Strong report writing skills
- Excellent computer skills with knowledge of EMR/EHR software plus Microsoft office
- Ability to learn and grasp new technologies quickly
- Strong training, educating, and mentoring abilities
