We are seeking a motivated Nursery Worker to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for assisting in the care and development of young children while providing a nurturing and safe environment. The ideal candidate should have excellent communication skills, be patient, and have a genuine passion for working with children.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the daily care and supervision of children.
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities to promote physical, intellectual, and emotional development.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations.
- Observe and monitor children's behavior and progress, documenting and reporting any concerns to supervisors or parents.
- Collaborate with parents and other staff members to ensure a positive and supportive environment is maintained.
- Participate in staff meetings, trainings, and professional development opportunities to improve skills and knowledge of childcare practices.
- Be flexible and adaptable to changing work assignments and responsibilities.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED required; Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education (ECE) preferred
- Minimum of 1 year of experience working with children in a daycare or nursery setting
- Knowledge and understanding of early childhood development and age-appropriate activities
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and work independently as well as part of a team
- Willingness to comply with state-mandated health and safety regulations and undergo background checks
- Flexibility to work varied schedules, including mornings, evenings, and weekends, as needed
