Job Brief
We are looking for a qualified Network and Computer Systems Administrator to maintain our company’s computer network systems and ensure their optimal performance. You will be responsible for installing, configuring, and maintaining network hardware and software, as well as monitoring network performance to identify and resolve issues.
As a Network and Computer Systems Administrator, you will work closely with our IT team to ensure that our network infrastructure runs smoothly. You will also collaborate with other departments to identify their technology needs and provide solutions that meet their requirements.

Responsibilities
- Install and configure software and hardware components to ensure network performance meets company requirements.
- Monitor network performance (availability, utilization, throughput, goodput, and latency) and test for weaknesses.
- Set up user accounts, permissions, and passwords.
- Resolve problems reported by end-users for desktops, laptops, printers, mobile devices, etc.
- Define network policies and procedures.
- Specify system requirements and design solutions.
- Research and make recommendations on server system administration.
- Ensure security through access controls, backups, and firewalls.
- Upgrade systems with new releases and models.
- Train users on new software/hardware.
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Network Administrator or relevant role
- Hands-on experience in networking, routing, switching, firewalls, VPNs (Virtual Private Networks), etc
- Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies
- Experience with databases (e.g., MySQL), web servers (e.g., Apache), etc
- Excellent communication skills
- Analytical mind with problem-solving aptitude
- Ability to work independently; self-motivated; detail-oriented; organized; able to prioritize tasks effectively
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field; relevant certifications (e.g., CCNA) are a plus
- Ability to work flexible hours when necessary (e.g., maintenance windows)
