Job brief
We are seeking a knowledgeable, professional, and caring Neonatologist to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a wealth of experience in infant care and have specialized in caring for sick and premature infants. The role's main focus is to provide medical support and intervention to premature and infant babies who need specialized support such as ventilators, incubators, etc.
Responsibilities
- Assess each infant, their risk factors, and their needs from the care team.
- Create charts and files for each patient.
- Develop effective care plans for each infant.
- Provide care to high-risk infants.
- Provide nutritional and dietary support to infants in care who cannot access the mother.
- Perform various medical procedures as needed to ensure the health and growth of the infant.
- Work directly with newborn babies who face challenges or premature birth to ensure their survival and development.
- Liaise with parents and provide updates on the progress of their infants.
- Update charts and care plans as required.
- Liaise with other healthcare professionals to ensure all healthcare needs are met.
Requirements
- Certification as a Neonatologist in the country/state you reside
- Bachelor’s degree in infant care, childcare, or health care
- Two years’ of hands-on experience, either by externship, internship, or work experience
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized
- Be on call for emergency situations
- Physically able to work long shifts on your feet
- Able to work under pressure in a stressful environment
- Good Problem-solving skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to design care plans
- Patient and empathetic in nature
- Knowledge of patient confidentiality guidelines
