Job Brief
We are seeking a personable, friendly, and professional Motivational Coach to join our team! The ideal fit for the role will have a strong background in coaching and mentoring others to assist them with improving their current position in their lives and careers. The key focus of the role is to provide support, guidance and mentoring to people who want to make headway in their lives and are unsure how to do it. As a motivational coach, you will help them build a path with a solid plan and work with them to achieve their goals.
Responsibilities
- Meet with clients to understand their struggles and what they want to change about their lives or their current situations.
- Assist clients with talking through their issues and work with them to develop effective and achievable plans and goals to help them reach their dreams.
- Monitor clients and hold regular update sessions to ensure they are heeding the advice and putting their personalized plans into practice.
- Perform interventions with clients when they are going off the set path from their plans and ensure they are aware that their actions will not facilitate their dreams.
- Make corrections and suggestions in a kind and professional manner.
- Celebrate milestones with clients, no matter how small.
- Provide help and support to clients via text message, phone, or email when needed.
- Ensure that all sessions are scheduled with clients and attended.
- Make notes about sessions so that effective monitoring of progress can take place.
- Provide advice, comfort, and a listening ear to clients when they are off plan or behind on their goals, and always encourage clients.
Requirements
- Associate degree or above in either life coaching, psychology, personal training, behavioral psychology, or a related field
- In the absence of higher education, a high school diploma with a certificate in life coaching or counseling would be acceptable
- 2 years' experience in a role where coaching and mentoring are required
- Demonstrated relationship-building and interpersonal skills
- Highly organized and able to manage a busy schedule
- Effective at note-taking, developing action plans, and providing positive support
- Strong computer skills
- Able to communicate and interact with various people from different backgrounds
