Job Brief
Our company is looking for a proficient Mortgage Loan Processor to join our team and facilitate the processing of mortgage applications from beginning to end.
Successful applicants' responsibilities include evaluating and authenticating loan applications, collecting essential documentation from clients, and collaborating with lenders to guarantee that loan processing is both timely and precise.
The perfect candidate should have a thorough knowledge of mortgage lending standards and laws, outstanding organizational and communication skills, and be capable of working efficiently in a high-pressure environment.
Responsibilities:
- Review and verify mortgage loan applications for accuracy and completeness.
- Collect necessary documentation from clients, such as income and employment verification, credit reports, and property appraisals.
- Work with lenders to ensure timely and accurate loan processing.
- Communicate with clients and other stakeholders to provide updates on loan status and resolve any issues or concerns.
- Ensure compliance with mortgage lending regulations and policies.
- Maintain accurate and complete loan files and records.
- Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely reporting and analysis.
- Assist with other mortgage lending functions as needed.
- Provide excellent customer service to clients and other stakeholders.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; associate or bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or a related field is preferred
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in mortgage lending, loan processing, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of mortgage lending principles and regulations
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Experience with mortgage loan processing software and systems, such as Encompass or Ellie Mae
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines
- Strong customer service skills
- Experience in a similar industry or field is a plus
