Job brief

We are looking for a skilled Medical Technologist to join our team. As a Medical Technologist, you will be responsible for performing laboratory tests and procedures to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of diseases. You will play a crucial role in healthcare by ensuring accurate and timely test results.

Responsibilities

• Conduct laboratory tests and procedures, including but not limited to microbiology, hematology, chemistry, immunology, and molecular diagnostics.
• Analyze and interpret test results, ensuring accuracy and precision.
• Perform and maintain quality control procedures to ensure the accuracy and reliability of test results.
• Maintain laboratory equipment and ensure its proper functioning.
• Keep up-to-date with the latest developments in medical technology and laboratory techniques.
• Assist in the training of other laboratory staff members.
• Adhere to all laboratory safety procedures and protocols.
• Maintain accurate and complete laboratory records.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Medical Technology or related field
• Certification as a Medical Technologist by a recognized accrediting agency, such as the American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or the National Credentialing Agency for Laboratory Personnel (NCA)
• Working knowledge of laboratory equipment and procedures
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks simultaneously
