Job Brief
We are looking for a medical and health services manager to oversee the daily operations of our healthcare facility. In this role, you will be responsible for managing staff, developing and implementing policies and procedures, and ensuring that our facility is in compliance with all healthcare regulations. The ideal candidate will have a bachelor’s degree in health administration or a related field, as well as strong leadership skills and knowledge of healthcare laws and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Direct, supervise and evaluate work activities of medical, nursing, technical, clerical, service, maintenance, and other personnel.
- Establish objectives and evaluative or operational criteria for units they manage.
- Direct or conduct recruitment, hiring, and training of personnel.
- Develop and maintain computerized record management systems to store and process data.
- Plan, implement, and administer programs and services in a health care or medical facility.
- Develop and maintain budgets, allocating funds for supplies, equipment, and personnel.
- Monitor the use of diagnostic services, inpatient beds, facilities, and staff to ensure the effective use of resources.
- Develop and implement organizational policies and procedures for the facility or medical unit.
- Analyze data to evaluate the effectiveness of clinical services and programs.
- Prepare activity reports to inform management of the status and implementation plans of programs, services, and quality initiatives.
Requirements and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in health administration or a related field
- At least 5 years of experience in healthcare management
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and laws
- Strong leadership skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions
- Knowledge of healthcare technology and electronic health records (EHRs)
- Ability to develop and implement policies and procedures
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Ability to work well under pressure
