Job brief
We are in search of a Media Analyst to follow and assess media coverage of products and services. This role requires extensive reading, researching, and writing.
Responsibilities
- Conduct research using tools such as surveys, focus groups, and interviews to collect pertinent data in regards to a media campaign.
- Analyze the effectiveness of a media campaign by assessing press releases and broadcast coverage.
- Track the media coverage of a service or product in print media, radio, TV, social media, and advertisements.
- Present findings on a monthly basis to management and marketing teams of the company to discuss the effectiveness of media campaigns.
- Stay up to date on advertising trends, the media industry, and competitors.
- Work with clients to evaluate their advertising efforts and point to strengths and weaknesses in their campaigns.
- Collaborate with journalists and reporters regarding certain services or products.
- Send the product or service for free to reviewers.
- Enter relevant media-related and marketing data into databases.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in Marketing, Advertising, or related field
- 2+ years of experience
- Understanding of media advertising and analytics
- Good interpersonal, communication, and networking skills
- Can produce quality work under stressful deadlines
- Able to travel
