Job brief

We are looking for a Senior Product Manager with a strong Materials Science Engineering background to join our team.

The chosen applicant will oversee the creation of materials science-based goods and services from conception through distribution.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement product development plans in line with the mission and objectives of the business.
• To determine the needs for the product, collect and evaluate feedback from stakeholders, customers, and other departments.
• Create and assess technical specs and product requirements papers.
• Work with cross-functional teams from R&D, manufacturing, marketing, and sales to create and introduce new goods.
• Make sure product development projects stay on schedule and within the allocated budget.
• Help in the creation of business models, product concepts, and strategies.
• Provide the team with technical knowledge and assistance while developing a product.
• Provide techniques for monitoring user feedback and product usage, and collaborate with teams to process and address user feedback.
• Ensure that every product development phase, from conception to launch, is finished on time.
• Keep up with the latest breakthroughs in materials science to recognize opportunities for new product development.

Requirements

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Materials Science or a related field
• 5+ years of experience in product development in the materials science industry
• Strong project management and leadership skills
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Experience with both qualitative and quantitative data
• The capacity to operate under time constraints and under duress
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams
• Familiarity with product development processes, including design, prototyping, testing, and manufacturing
• The capacity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced workplace
