We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-centric Leasing Consultant to oversee the leasing process for our residential properties. As a Leasing Consultant, you will be responsible for responding to leasing inquiries, providing property tours, and guiding residents through the application process.

Leasing consultant responsibilities

• Respond to all leasing inquiries via phone, email, or in-person and schedule tours of available units.
• Provide knowledgeable information about the property, including community amenities, pricing, floor plans, policies, and procedures.
• Present and lease available units to potential residents.
• Process leasing applications, background checks, and credit checks in a timely manner.
• Prepare leases and lease renewals, and ensure all leasing documents are complete and accurate.
• Maintain an accurate and up-to-date database of all prospects, residents, and vacate notices.
• Resolve resident concerns and complaints in a timely and effective manner.
• Conduct regular market surveys to stay up to date on competitive properties.
• Participate in property marketing initiatives, including internet advertising and outreach marketing efforts.
• Attend regular leasing training sessions and stay up to date with industry trends.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent required; College degree preferred
• Minimum of 1 year experience in leasing, sales, or customer service preferred
• Strong skills in communication, organization, and customer service
• Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and evenings
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and property management software
• Must have reliable transportation
• Knowledge of Fair Housing Laws and landlord/tenant laws preferred
• Must be able to pass a background check
• Must have strong sales skills and be able to close leasing deals effectively
