Leasing Agent Job Brief
Our company is seeking to hire a skilled and enthusiastic Leasing Agent to join our team. The ideal candidate should be passionate about the property management industry and have a strong sales background. As a leasing agent, the successful candidate will be responsible for managing rental property and leasing units to prospective tenants.
Leasing Agent Responsibilities
- Meet and greet prospective tenants, show them rental units, and conduct property tours.
- Prepare and execute lease agreements while adhering to property management policies.
- Collect and process rent payments, security deposits, and any other related fees.
- Work with tenants to resolve any issues or concerns they may have in a timely manner.
- Advertise available rental properties to attract potential tenants.
- Perform inspections on rental units to ensure they meet move-in-ready standards.
- Follow up with prospective tenants through phone calls or emails to answer any questions they may have and to encourage them to lease a unit.
- Maintain accurate records of lease agreements, rent payments, and tenant information.
- Prepare property reports and financial statements as requested by management.
- Manage tenant move-ins and move-outs, including the completion of walkthrough inspections and returning security deposits.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent, college degree preferred
- At least two years of experience in property leasing or sales
- Knowledge of fair housing laws and property management policies
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Excellent sales skills and ability to close deals
- Professional attitude and appearance
- Familiarity with lease agreements and property management software
- Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends
