Job brief
We are seeking a safety-focused, service-orientated, and organized lead flight attendant to join our team! The ideal candidate will have prior experience as a flight attendant and have demonstrated leadership and management qualities, with a keen eye for safety. The focus of the role will be to monitor, supervise and ensure the safety of the flight crew, along with assisting passengers, ensuring timely meal service, and ensuring safety measures are followed.
Responsibilities
- Ensure that pre-flight checks, safety demonstrations, and other safety information is completed or provided by the cabin crew team.
- Liaise with cabin crew throughout the flight to ensure that passengers' needs are taken care of.
- Conduct regular seat belt checks and make passenger announcements.
- Provide information and educate passengers regarding their safety and well-being on board.
- Assist with the resolution of passenger queries, questions, and concerns.
- Deescalate heated disputes between passengers, or angry passengers when needed.
- Monitor the performance of the cabin crew and provide guidance and training when needed.
- Delegate tasks as needed to the team.
- Ensure the timely delivery of meal and drinks services.
- Ensure pre-landing checks are completed to a high standard.
Requirements
- Associate degree or above in business, customer services, or related field
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a flight attendant
- 1 year of experience working in a leadership or supervisory role would be an advantage
- Excellent leadership abilities
- Strong knowledge of FAA guidelines and compliance procedures
- Demonstrated thorough knowledge of the relevant flight attendants' handbook
- Keen eye for detail
- Safety focused
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
- Good interpersonal skills
- Ability to deescalate heated or volatile situations
