Job brief
We are seeking a dynamic, driven and service-focused Land Logistics Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a broad range of experience in land logistics, including rail freight and truck freight industry, and be adept at managing a team of personnel. The role's focus will be to have overall accountability over the planning and shipment of products by land transportation.
Responsibilities
- Oversee, plan, and track scheduled daily and weekly routes for shipment, from production to end-user.
- Track orders and land transport shipments using tracking software.
- Monitor transportation costs and prepare a report.
- Ensure transportation vehicles are maintained, and report any repair needed for equipment.
- Be knowledgeable on safety regulations and organize training for employees.
- Ensure compliance tasks and monitor activities to ensure they are in line with company policies and regulations.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in supply chain, logistics, or relevant field
- 3-4 years of experience working as a Transportation Manager, Shipping Manager, or similar role
- Solid understanding of land supply chain management
- Experience preparing and tracking orders
- Working knowledge of logistics software
- Great organizational skills
- Ability to delegate duties effectively and train staff
- Problem-solving abilities
