We are seeking a Kitchen Manager to monitor and oversee the daily operations of the restaurant’s kitchen. The ideal candidate must have strong leadership and management skills to ensure the smooth operations of kitchen processes.
Responsibilities
- Order supplies, ingredients, and materials based on kitchen demands, needs, and shortages.
- Perform a periodic inventory assessment and track inventory quantities for stocking.
- Arrange food orders and monitor kitchen staff.
- Oversee the preparation of food and processes of cooking.
- Change menu pricing and food items listed from time to time in collaboration with the chef.
- Report to senior management and other restaurant chain executives when required to.
- Manage and arrange for the work shifts for staff.
- Maintain daily, weekly, and monthly cost reports.
- Organize food products in compliance with safety and health regulations.
- Train and recruit kitchen staff for each station.
- Ensure the kitchen is organized and clean at all times.
- Maintains a close eye on kitchen operations to verify that they are in accordance with health and fire department rules.
- Ensures that state, federal, and local food handling regulations and standards are followed.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s in business or certificate in restaurant management
- 3+ years experience in a similar position
- Knowledge of kitchen safety and rules
- Can work in a fast-paced and stressful environment
- Good organizational and time management abilities
- Problem-solving skills
