Job brief

We are seeking a detail-focused, knowledgeable and professional Electrical Engineer to join our team! The ideal fit for the role will have an educational background in electronics and a passion for engineering! The key focus of the position is to provide service, repair, and maintenance to the company’s electronic equipment and devices.

Responsibilities

  • Review and monitor the electronic equipment in place.
  • Make suggestions on equipment upgrades that could improve performance or lower cost.
  • Create an effective maintenance schedule for the electronic equipment and components in the machinery.
  • Complete repairs on electronic equipment as needed.
  • Keep logs of all equipment and their repair and service schedules.
  • Use hand tools, power tools, and air tools to complete repair or service work.
  • Install new equipment as needed and test equipment for functionality before sign-off.
  • Ensure quality checks are completed of installed and new equipment.
  • Work with the engineering team to collaborate on repair projects.
  • Liaise with external parts suppliers to obtain repair parts.
  • Work in line with health and safety guidelines at all times.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or above in Electrical Engineering or related field.
  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role
  • Ability to read and understand technical drawings and diagrams
  • Good dexterity and ability to work with your hands
  • Strong analytical skills, with keen attention to detail
  • Good knowledge of varying tool types and their uses
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Able to work to agreed deadlines and timescales
  • Demonstrated knowledge of health and safety guidelines
  • Good problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to prioritize own time and workload
