We are seeking a Homeland Security who will spearhead the effort to ensure homeland safety, security, and resilience against terrorism.
Responsibilities
- Conduct regular screening to ensure no prohibited persons or materials enter American jurisdiction.
- Oversee and manage the day-to-day operations of all intelligence and digital forensics activities.
- Responsible for a vast range of activities in support of intelligence plans, programs, and operations.
- Maintain proper processes to protect the privacy, civil rights, and civil liberties of U.S. citizens, in consistency with applicable laws, regulations, directives, orders, and policies.
- Accountable for leading complex projects, often cutting across organizational lines. Provides policy recommendations.
- Promote identification of potential improvement opportunities.
- Advise management and colleagues on adversities, conduct special studies, and propose options and alternatives.
- Work in collaboration with various counterparts in response to legislative directions, funding issues, policy changes, and the impact of these changes.
- Retain knowledge of all applicable Standard Operating Procedures and Federal and local laws and regulations.
Requirements
- Must be a current permanent Federal employee
- Must not have any pending disciplinary actions
- Extensive experience in establishing and maintaining liaisons with the subject matter and technical experts throughout the U.S. government, and State and Local policies
- Demonstrates analytical thinking, sound judgment, and decisiveness
- Able to pass a federal drug screening, medical evaluation, and background investigation
